The next morning, the family brought him home.
Doctors examined him.
Neurologists ran tests.
Psychologists asked hundreds of questions.
The conclusion stunned everyone.
His memory loss appeared genuine.
He truly did not know who he was.
Then came the discovery.
The teenage boy was searching through an old family photo album.
One photograph slipped from between the pages.
A vacation picture from nine years earlier.
The moment the homeless man saw it...
His face turned pale.
His breathing accelerated.
And suddenly he whispered three words.
"I remember her."
Everyone froze.
He wasn't pointing at his wife.
He wasn't pointing at his son.
He was pointing at another woman standing in the background.
A woman none of them recognized.
On the back of the photograph was a handwritten note.
